Distinguished Early Career Contributions Award – Practice

About this program

The Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) offers the Distinguished Early Career Contributions Award—Practice to recognize individuals within ten years of receiving their terminal degree who have made significant, evidence‑based contributions to the practice of I‑O psychology; the winner receives a crystal and $1,500. Nominees must be SIOP members and require a SIOP member nomination (self‑nominations allowed); the nominator submits an online package including a nomination letter, current CV, 3–5 letters of support (no more than three from non‑I‑O psychologists), and materials documenting the nominee’s contributions and impact. Eligible nominees must have received their terminal degree no earlier than 2016, with a possible up to two‑year extension for qualifying life events requested separately by email, and must provide degree documentation (transcript, diploma, or verification letter). Selection is based on breadth and depth of impact, use of evidence‑based approaches, practitioner status among peers, and contributions beyond the nominee’s employing organization.
