Distinguished Faculty Award

About this program

The Association of College Unions International (ACUI) offers the Distinguished Faculty Award to recognize a faculty member who supports college unions and advances campus community building through teaching, research, mentorship, and engagement. The selected recipient receives a physical award and recognition at ACUI’s annual conference and in subsequent publications. Nominees must be ACUI members serving in full-time faculty roles, although tenure or tenure-track status is not required. Nominations are due November 20 and must include nominee and nominator information, two to three support letters, and a summary of the nominee’s relevant professional experience and service demonstrating integration of the college union concept into coursework, community-focused research, and relationship-building beyond their faculty role.
