Distinguished International Scientist-Practitioner Award

About this program

The Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) offers the Distinguished International Scientist-Practitioner Award to recognize an internationally influential individual whose scientific or applied work has significantly advanced sport and performance psychology. The award includes a $1,000 honorarium, conference registration waiver, and presentation of a plaque at the AASP conference. Nominees must be native to and reside outside the United States and Canada, demonstrate international impact through research, practice, education, or outreach, and receive nomination from an AASP member in good standing; the nominee need not be an AASP member. Applications require a nomination letter, two support letters (including at least one from a sport and performance psychology professional), and an English-language CV of no more than six pages, submitted by April 15 annually.
