About this program
The APA Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy (Division 29) offers the Distinguished Psychologist Award to recognize lifetime contributions to psychology, psychotherapy, and the Society. The recipient receives a certificate, a $500 award, and up to $500 in reimbursement for qualified expenses to attend the award ceremony at the annual APA Convention. Nominees must be distinguished contributors to the field; self-nominations are welcome. Applications must include a nomination letter describing the nominee’s career contributions and a current CV, submitted electronically as PDFs by December 31 annually.
