Distinguished Service Award

About this program

The Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care (SNACC) offers the Distinguished Service Award to recognize members who have made outstanding national or international contributions to neurosciences in anesthesiology and critical care and notable service to the Society; recipients receive a plaque and recognition on the SNACC website and Annual Meeting reports (no monetary prize). Eligible nominees must be SNACC members for at least 10 years, may not self-nominate (nominations must be submitted by an active SNACC member), and current SNACC Executive Committee or Board members are ineligible. Nominations should include a biographical sketch, a minimum two-paragraph narrative of the nominee’s contributions and service, and supporting letters from two additional SNACC members, with emphasis on sustained accomplishments across clinical advancement, research, scholarship, education/training, leadership, mentorship, professionalism, commitment to diversity/equity/inclusion, and length of professional service after postgraduate training.
