Donald Durnaugh Starting Scholar Award

The Communal Studies Association offers the Donald Durnaugh Starting Scholar Award to encourage and recognize early-career authors researching communal societies and intentional communities, past or present. The award includes a cash prize, certificate, and the opportunity for publication in the journal Communal Societies. Undergraduate and graduate students in any discipline are eligible, with no organizational or academic affiliation required; submissions must be original, unpublished papers of no more than 10,000 words. Electronic submissions are due June 1 of the award year and should be suitable for journal publication.
