About this program
The American Society of Mammalogists administers the Donald W. and Glennis A. Kaufman Research Award, a single annual $2,500 grant to support field-based ecological research on native mammals in the grasslands of the U.S. Great Plains and/or Canada Prairie Provinces. The award is intended for graduate student (MS or PhD) members of ASM, with preference given to studies of rodents and/or shrews. Applicants must be enrolled in an MS or PhD program and hold ASM membership; nationality is not considered and enrollment in a U.S. program is not required.
