Endowed by Douglas R. and Carmen L. Clark, this scholarship supports non‑Jordanian students to travel to and conduct research in Jordan—preferably archaeological work including excavation—through projects that collaborate with Jordanian researchers or communities to document, preserve, and celebrate Jordan’s cultural heritage. Applicants must be actively enrolled undergraduate or graduate students and demonstrate partnership with local researchers or institutions. Required materials are a completed application form, an academic review (project director letter confirming acceptance into a field/study project or institutional acceptance such as ACOR for independent research), a project proposal (up to 2,000 words), transcript(s) (first‑year grad students submit both graduate and undergraduate transcripts), and one recommendation.
