Dr. Ernest J. Ring Academic Development Grant

About this program

The SIR Foundation’s Dr. Ernest J. Ring Academic Development Grant supports early-career interventional radiology faculty by providing protected time for research, with up to $150,000 over two years ($75,000 annually). The program aims to help recipients develop into independent investigators and secure subsequent peer-reviewed funding. Applicants must be full-time faculty at accredited U.S. or Canadian institutions, hold an MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree, and be within seven years of their initial faculty appointment at or below the assistant professor level. Applicants must also be SIR members, U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and not yet independent investigators or recipients of major grant support exceeding $50,000.
