EAOG Research Awards

About this program

EAOG (European Association for Organic Geochemistry) offers Research Awards of up to €3,000 to support Ph.D. students and newly qualified PhDs in organic geochemistry/biogeochemistry for research visits to international host laboratories or to complete thesis-related work. Both European and non‑European applicants are eligible, but applicants must secure agreement with the host laboratory in advance. Applications—submitted as a single PDF by email to the Awards Committee Chair by 1 December 2026—must include a completed proposal (template), CV, and recommendation letters from supervisors at both home and host institutions. Awards are paid in two installments (2/3 before the activity, 1/3 after) and recipients must submit a short report within three months of project completion and acknowledge the EAOG award in publications.
