About this program
The Russell Sage Foundation offers residential scholar awards at its New York headquarters to support innovative social and behavioral science research that advances methods, questions, and policies to improve social and living conditions in the United States. Selected RSF/Visiting Scholars are invited to spend time in residence to investigate topics aligned with the Foundation’s research priorities. Applicants must be researchers in the social or behavioral sciences whose proposed projects fit RSF’s priorities; early‑career investigators should consider RSF’s separate Pipeline Grants, Dissertation Research Grants, and Causal Research on the Criminal Justice System programs.
