Early Career Investigator Program

About this program

The AKC Canine Health Foundation’s Early Career Investigator Program supports basic, translational, and clinical research that directly improves canine health, including studies of disease mechanisms, diagnostics, treatments, and clinical trials. Proposals may be submitted under the Acorn or Oak grant categories, depending on project scope and budget. Applicants must hold a DVM, VMD, equivalent degree, and/or PhD, demonstrate a commitment to canine health research, and be within six years of completing relevant training, including residencies or postgraduate study.
