Early Career Scholars Award for Division 1

About this program

The Society for General Psychology & Interdisciplinary Inquiry (APA Division 1) offers the Early Career Scholars Award to recognize psychologists making significant interdisciplinary contributions to general psychology and demonstrating strong potential for future impact. The award includes a $2,500 honorarium and certificate, presented annually at the APA Convention. Nominees must be within 10 years of receiving their psychology doctorate, be current Division 1 members, and have relevant contributions and publications. Self-nominations and nominations by colleagues are accepted; applications require a qualifications letter, current CV, and three representative publications or book chapters, due February 15, 2026.
