EASP Collaborative Research Grants

About this program

The European Association of Social Psychology (EASP) offers Collaborative Research Grants of up to €5,000 to seed cross-country collaborative projects—particularly preliminary studies intended to enable larger-scale funding—and funds may cover participant compensation, consumables, equipment and travel; applications use the EASP Grant Application Form (PDF) and should be sent to office@easp.eu with recurring submission dates of March 15 and September 15 and received at least three months before the intended start date. Eligibility is limited to full EASP members: both partners must be EASP members, collaborations must involve partners from different countries, and at least one partner must work in a country facing economic hardship or where EASP is underrepresented; members may receive only one Collaborative Grant within a five-year period. Proposals must provide sufficient detail on theoretical background, link to social psychology, research questions/hypotheses, methods, expected results, dissemination plans and timeline, and are evaluated on scientific merit (originality, methods, contribution, publication potential, applied value) and adherence to open science principles (preregistration and open data encouraged). After scientific assessment, diversity considerations (with encouragement for applicants from regions with limited research funds) influence final funding decisions, and project reports/photos will be published on the EASP website and noted in EBSP.
