Eastern Branch John Henry Comstock Award

The Entomological Society of America’s Eastern Branch offers the John Henry Comstock Award to recognize an outstanding graduate student in entomology. The award includes an all-expense-paid trip to the ESA Annual Meeting, reimbursed airfare, hotel, meeting registration, per diem, a $100 cash prize, and a certificate. Applicants must be ESA student members pursuing or having completed an entomology-focused graduate degree within one year of the deadline; each university may submit no more than two nominees, typically selected through a departmental process. Nomination packages, including a cover letter, CV, transcripts, research and publication materials, three recommendation letters, and an eligibility/authenticity letter, must be submitted electronically by December 15 annually at 11:59 p.m. EST.
