EBAA High Impact Research Grant — 2026: Pharmacological Agents to Enhance Corneal Endothelial Cell Health

The Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) invites investigator- and industry-initiated proposals for its 2026 High Impact Research Grant on "Pharmacological Agents to Enhance Corneal Endothelial Cell Health," funding projects up to $50,000 to support research relevant to eye banking and corneal transplantation. Eligible applicants include researchers, eye‑bank technicians, nurses, and trainees (trainees must list a scientific supervisor); applicants who are not employees of an EBAA member eye bank must obtain endorsement from an affiliated eye bank or a Paton Society member. Applications must include PI and co‑investigator information and CVs, an itemized budget and W9, supporting documents, and a page‑limited proposal (Background & Specific Aims 1 page; Significance 1 page; Methods/Approach 3 pages; Qualifications & Environment 1 page; References 2 pages), with required IRB/IACUC approvals and compliance for human or animal research. Awardees receive one year of funding, must submit a 6‑month progress report and final report/financial statement, present results at an EBAA meeting within two years, publicly share findings, and may retain IP rights for patentable inventions while making study results publicly available.
