Pacific Northwest Section Electrochemistry Student Award

The Electrochemical Society (ECS) Pacific Northwest Section, with sponsorship from Thermo Fisher Scientific, offers an annual $1,000 award recognizing promising graduate researchers in electrochemical engineering, applied electrochemistry, or related solid-state science. Recipients are honored at the annual ECS Pacific Northwest Section meeting and may be asked to speak; they are also expected to submit a paper to the Journal of The Electrochemical Society before completing their degree.

Nominees must be ECS members pursuing an advanced degree at a university in Washington, Oregon, or Idaho, with electrochemical or solid-state science and technology central to their studies. Applications require a nomination form, curriculum vitae, advisor recommendation, research summary addressing the project’s Pacific Northwest impact, and eligibility certifications; nominations are due February 28 annually.
