Eddie C. and C. Sylvia Brown Family Foundation Grant Program

About this program

The Eddie C. and C. Sylvia Brown Family Foundation, administered by the Baltimore Community Foundation, provides typical grants of $5,000 to Baltimore-area organizations serving the African American community. Funding supports mental health, cancer prevention and treatment, youth arts engagement, and K-12 educational opportunities, with applications accepted July 1–September 30, 2026. Eligible applicants are Baltimore-area public charities or fiscal agents recognized under Section 501(c)(3) that do not discriminate; individuals, higher-education institutions, organizations outside the region, start-ups, capital projects, and multiyear requests are ineligible. Preference is given to established organizations with demonstrated results and clear programmatic outcomes.
