Edmund Keeley Book Prize

About this program

The Modern Greek Studies Association awards the Edmund Keeley Book Prize to recognize an outstanding academic book on modern Greece or a Hellenic theme, originally published in English. The prize includes $2,000 and a one-year MGSA membership, with submissions due April 1, 2028, for books published since April 2026. Authors must be current MGSA members, submit three nonreturnable copies, and may not serve on the prize selection committee; submissions from all Modern Greek Studies disciplines are welcome. Third-party submissions require a letter or email requesting consideration.
