Education Grants (Historic Society of Lancashire & Cheshire)

About this program

The Historic Society of Lancashire & Cheshire offers Education Grants, normally up to £300, to schools and other institutions for projects and activities that further the study of local history (for example, transport to record offices/museums or acquisition of copied archive material). Higher education institutions may also apply to fund events, conferences or workshops intended to increase non‑academic participation in research and dissemination about the historic counties of Lancashire and Cheshire. Applicants must download and submit the Society’s completed application form (to be received by 31 October) and, if successful, are expected to contribute an article to the HSLC Newsletter or deliver a presentation/talk at a Society event. Applicants are strongly encouraged to become members of the HSLC.
