Educational Research and Development Grant 2026

About this program

The Society for Experimental Biology offers the Educational Research and Development Grant 2026 to fund innovative, evidence-based educational research and development in experimental biology, supporting projects that develop transferable teaching resources and run 1 July 2025–30 June 2026. Eligible costs include project-specific materials, data collection/hosting, short-term assistance, travel and registration for educational events, and creation/dissemination of open-access resources; SEB members may apply for up to £2,000 and non-members up to £200. Applicants must demonstrate innovation, appropriate training in educational research, potential for impact and transferability across the SEB community, and collaborations between at least two institutions are favoured; funding cannot be used for academic staff salaries, school/public outreach, or locally retained equipment/consumables.
