About this program

AAMS' Eileen Frazer SPARK Award, offered by the professional association AAMS, recognizes bold vision and transformative thinking in out-of-hospital patient care by honoring an early- to mid-career emerging leader whose original idea, project, or initiative shows potential to reshape the industry; the award confers recognition, visibility, and support rather than a specified monetary prize. Evaluation emphasizes innovation, impact potential, scalability, leadership, and clarity of execution, and nominations for 2026 will open in summer (deadline TBD). Eligible nominees are emerging leaders in out-of-hospital care who conceived or led an original project demonstrating meaningful and measurable industry impact and who exhibit initiative, curiosity, courage, and collaboration. Nominations must include a description of the idea/project, the problem addressed, anticipated industry impact, and the nominee’s biography.
