Emergency Grants for Experimental Artists

About this program

The Foundation for Contemporary Arts (FCA) offers Emergency Grants of up to $8,000 to support the public presentation of completed experimental work, including performances, exhibitions, screenings, and installations. These grants cover urgent expenses such as artists' fees, travel, materials, and production costs. Eligible applicants are individual artists or representatives of artist collectives/ensembles residing in the U.S. or its territories with a U.S. Tax ID Number, who have committed performance or exhibition dates and apply 8-10 weeks before the project's public presentation. Ineligible applicants include artists enrolled in degree-granting programs and previous recipients within a 3-year wait period.
