Emergency Grants

About this program

The Foundation for Contemporary Arts (FCA) Emergency Grants provide support for urgently needed expenses associated with the public presentation of completed, innovative and experimental work, including performances, exhibitions, screenings, readings, and installations. Eligible costs may include artist fees, travel, accommodations, materials, shipping, fabrication, and production expenses. Applicants must be individual artists or artist representatives living in the United States or its territories, possess a U.S. tax identification number, and have a confirmed presentation opportunity with specific dates. Applications are generally expected 8–10 weeks before presentation; students, organizations, curators, presenters, and projects involving commercial galleries, work-in-progress, or non-project-related living expenses are ineligible.
