Emerging Leader Award

About this program

The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) presents the annual Emerging Leader Award to recognize early‑career pharmaceutical scientists or professionals who have significantly advanced pharmaceutical science or innovatively applied it to promote public and global health. The award includes an engraved plaque, complimentary PharmSci 360 registration and presentation slot, reimbursement for travel (up to $500 domestic/$1,000 international) and up to two hotel nights, and recipients are expected to participate in the conference and awards presentation. Candidates must be AAPS members and no more than eight years from the start of full‑time paid employment (doctoral, post‑doctoral, intern or residency positions are ineligible); nominations (self, peer, or committee) require a CV, a biography highlighting public‑health impact, a nominator’s statement and optional 1–3 endorsement letters, with selection based on innovation, publication record and demonstrated potential for global leadership.
