Emerging Mentor/Teacher Award

About this program

The National Council on Family Relations’ Advancing Family Science Section offers the annual Emerging Mentor/Teacher Award to recognize early-career Family Science faculty who demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentorship; the recipient receives a plaque and recognition at the NCFR conference. Applicants must be within five years of earning their terminal degree and maintain membership in NCFR and the Advancing Family Science Section from nomination through the award presentation. Applications require an updated CV or résumé, a teaching or mentoring philosophy, and at least two support letters—one from a student or mentee and one from an administrator or colleague—and are due May 22.
