About this program
The European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) offers the Emerging Young Investigator Award to recognise talented scientists from low- and lower-middle-income countries working in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. Awardees receive reimbursement for registration, travel, and accommodation at ESCMID Global in the award year, plus complimentary ESCMID Global or course registration and an open-access publication in CMI or CMI Communications, to be used within two years. Applicants must be emerging investigators from eligible low- or lower-middle-income countries conducting work in clinical microbiology or infectious diseases.
