Enders/ACSUS 50 Research Award

About this program

The Thomas O. Enders Endowment, commemorating ACSUS’s 50th anniversary, offers the biennial Enders/ACSUS 50 Research Award — a $15,000 grant to support a U.S.-based scholar’s research or creative project that promises a significant contribution to Canadian Studies. Funding covers only direct research costs (no university overhead) and is paid directly to the researcher; eligible projects include books/chapters, scholarly articles, short films/documentaries, creative writing, and digital/social-science or humanities databases/websites, with special interest in energy policy, economics, cross-border issues, climate change, and the environment. U.S.-based scholars from any discipline in Canadian Studies should submit a single PDF via email to Dr. Alexandre Couture Gagnon (alexandre.couturegagnon@utrgv.edu) containing a three-page project letter (with timeline and budget), one letter of recommendation, a sample of recent work, and an updated CV; applications are due 1 December 2026, recipients will be notified 31 December 2026, and a final report is due 1 December 2026.
