Engagement grant (British Pharmacological Society)

About this program

The British Pharmacological Society’s Engagement Grant, administered by the Society’s Engagement Committee, funds members to deliver in-person or digital pharmacology and drug-discovery outreach, awarding up to £2,000 for public-facing activities with a Seed Funding option up to £250 for smaller or pilot projects. Applicants must have been Society members for at least 12 months (undergraduate members may only apply for Seed Funding); proposals on any pharmacology topic are welcome with preference for projects on how medicines are discovered/developed, outputs suitable for the Society website, initiatives reaching underserved communities, or activities aligned with school/college curricula. Awards must be spent and projects delivered within 12 months of approval, recipients must submit a short completion report (e.g., a Pharmacology Matters article), and applications are anonymised and reviewed in two annual windows (Summer: 1 July–31 October; Winter: 1 January–30 April).
