Engagement grant

About this program

The British Pharmacological Society’s Engagement Grant (administered by the Engagement Committee) supports high‑quality in‑person or digital public engagement and outreach activities promoting pharmacology and drug discovery, offering up to £2,000 for main awards and up to £250 for Seed Funding for smaller or pilot projects. Preference is given to proposals that produce resources/tools hostable on the Society website, reach underserved communities, or align with school/college/university curricula; funds must be used within 12 months of approval. Applicants must be Society members with at least 12 months’ membership (undergraduate members may only apply for Seed Funding) and applications are anonymised prior to review. There are two annual application windows (Summer: 1 July–31 October; Winter: 1 January–30 April), successful applicants must submit a short completion report, and any changes to delivery dates require committee agreement.
