About this program

Engineering Information Foundation (EiF) offers competitive grants up to $25,000 to support charitable, scientific, literary, or educational projects aligned with its program areas; applications are submitted via the GivingHub portal with biannual deadlines (Feb 28 and Aug 31) and board reviews in April and October (decisions typically communicated within two weeks). Grants cover direct project/program costs only (no overhead) and EiF will not fund equipment-only requests, general classroom overhead, conferences, scholarships/fellowships, assistantships, or tuition remission (doctoral students may be paid for project management). Eligible applicants are U.S. tax-exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) that are not private foundations (non‑U.S. applicants may apply but must provide additional documentation); only one application per institution per cycle is allowed and a senior institutional endorsement (President/Provost/VP/OSP) plus EIN are required. Proposals must include a clear problem statement, detailed workplan and budget, staff bios, and evaluation plan; grantees must provide final narrative and financial reports and demonstrate cost‑effectiveness or secured matching funds for partial‑funding requests.
