Enhancing Communication Skills in Engineering

About this program

The Engineering Information Foundation (EiF) offers grants of up to US$25,000 to develop, implement, and evaluate innovative approaches for improving undergraduate engineering students’ listening, speaking, writing, visual, and graphic communication skills. Projects may incorporate emerging technologies, teamwork, or collaborations between engineering faculty and communications or information science specialists, with emphasis on measurable, lasting, and replicable results. Applicants must focus on undergraduate engineering education; K–12 organizations are not eligible under this program. EiF especially welcomes proposals from U.S. minority-serving institutions and institutions in developing countries.
