Environmental Chemistry Engagement and Impact Award

About this program

The ACS Division of Environmental Chemistry (ENVR) annually presents the Environmental Chemistry Engagement and Impact Award to an individual or team demonstrating leadership, creativity, and measurable impact in linking research, education, and community partnerships to address environmental challenges; the award includes a plaque, $2,000, and recognition at the Fall ACS National Meeting. Nominees must be ENVR members at the time of nomination and may be faculty, researchers, practitioners, industry professionals, or teams; previous recipients are ineligible for five years and nominations must be submitted by an ENVR member (self-nominations accepted). Complete nomination packages—assembled as a single PDF—must include nominator and nominee details, a nomination letter (≤1,000 words), two support letters (≤1,000 words each), and a CV (up to 5 pages), and are accepted only between August 1 and October 1; awardees are selected by an Awards Committee subcommittee.
