About this program
The National Council on Family Relations’ Family and Community Education Section offers the biennial Ernest G. Osborne Award to recognize exceptional teaching of Family Science and leadership in educating about family relationships. The recipient receives $1,000, up to $500 in travel support, and a plaque, presented at the NCFR Annual Conference. Applicants must be NCFR members currently teaching family relationships and have at least 10 years of teaching experience at any educational level. Applications or nominations are due May 22 and must include a nomination letter, teaching philosophy, abbreviated vitae, and up to three support letters.
