ESPGHAN Annual Meeting Young Investigator Award (YIA)

About this program

The European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) offers Young Investigator Awards of up to EUR 1,000 to help cover travel, visa, accommodation and meeting registration/course fees for young investigators with an abstract accepted for presentation at the ESPGHAN Annual Meeting. Eligible applicants must be the main presenter, have fewer than ten years in the sub‑specialty (trainees, allied health professionals, scientists), not be a full ESPGHAN member or a well‑established funded researcher, and must have received fewer than three prior YIA awards. Applications are submitted during abstract submission and must include a support letter from an ESPGHAN Full Member/senior Corresponding Member or senior FISPGHAN member plus a current CV. Awards are reviewed by the ESPGHAN Office, Treasurer and Council; funds are released after meeting registration at the ESPGHAN booth and require post‑meeting financial reporting with receipts and bank details.
