ESPGHAN International Exchange Award

About this program

European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) offers the International Exchange Award to fund placements within Europe that promote knowledge exchange and acquisition of techniques not available at the applicant’s home institution, providing up to EUR 3,000 toward travel and accommodation for exchanges completed within 12 months (not for attendance at courses, schools, symposia or conferences). Eligible applicants are ESPGHAN members in good standing—typically early-career investigators or clinicians with less than ten years in the sub‑specialty—and both home and host supervisors must also be ESPGHAN members; placements must take place in Europe. Applications are accepted year‑round and require a letter of intent, current CV, and a host confirmation letter co‑signed by supervisors; decisions are issued within six weeks and funds are released only after submission of a one‑page host‑signed report and financial receipts.
