ESPID General Travel Award

About this program

The European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) offers General Travel Awards to help members cover travel, accommodation and registration costs for scientific meetings, training events and courses (excluding the annual ESPID meeting and other events with separate ESPID travel schemes), with maximum reimbursements of EUR 1,000 for travel outside Europe, EUR 600 within Europe and EUR 200 within the applicant’s own country. Applicants must be ESPID members in good standing with current subscription paid, submit applications at least two months before the meeting, and provide abstracts/acknowledgements (and acceptance if available) and post-meeting confirmation of attendance; only one award may be received every two calendar years and only one award per project will be supported. Applications are assessed on applicant age, previous ESPID awards, presentation status, scientific relevance to paediatric infectious diseases and the applicant’s country income level; use of AI tools in preparing applications is permitted but must be disclosed in the cover letter, and decisions are communicated within four weeks.
