ESPID/INOPSU Infection Surveillance Research Grant

The European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID), in collaboration with INOPSU, offers a research grant of up to €20,000 to support paediatric infection surveillance studies conducted across two or more European countries, covering administrative costs of participating surveillance units and essential consumables. Applicants must be paid-up ESPID members in good standing, identify key co-investigators in the involved countries and obtain provisional approval from the INOPSU coordinator; applications must include an abstract, background, research question, detailed plan and timetable, methodologies, budget breakdown and references. Projects are expected to be completed within one year, present findings at ESPID and INOPSU meetings, publish in a peer‑reviewed journal and submit a final report with a full cost breakdown; applications from under‑served European regions and investigators with limited prior funding are encouraged. Previous awardees may reapply for a second year only once.
