About this program

BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons) awards six annual European Scholarships of up to £6,000 each to enable UK specialist registrars (ST4–ST6) to visit plastic surgery centres anywhere in Europe. Awards are allocated at the Education Committee’s discretion, decided in February, and successful applicants must submit a post-visit report for publication on the BAPRAS website; a deadline is listed as 7 January (year not specified) and enquiries may be sent to bursaries@bapras.org.uk. Applicants must be BAPRAS members enrolled on a recognised SAC plastic surgery training programme and submit a complete application including a detailed itinerary with costs and justification plus a CV (maximum two pages); incomplete applications will not be considered. Preference is given to trainees without other financial awards and to those applying prior to travel, while applicants in paid posts travelling abroad may be considered less favourably.
