Every Heartbeat Matters Valve Fellowship

The AATS Foundation, in partnership with the Edwards Lifesciences Foundation, offers the Every Heartbeat Matters Valve Fellowship to support surgeons in advancing their expertise in heart valve disease treatment, particularly for underserved populations. The fellowship provides up to $15,000 for 1-3 months of specialized training in valve reconstruction and biological valve replacements at a host institution. Applicants must be early or mid-career surgeons who have completed cardiac or cardiothoracic surgery training, identify a suitable training center, and demonstrate a commitment to serving underserved patients. The application deadline is July 2, 2026.
