Coefficient Giving’s Farm Animal Welfare Fund supports organizations pursuing tractable, cost‑effective work in important and neglected sub‑strategies to improve farm animal welfare. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis but unsolicited proposals are generally not funded; prospective applicants should send a brief pitch to info@coefficientgiving.org to gauge interest before preparing a full proposal. If invited to apply, organizations are typically asked for a two‑year budget, a list of primary achievements to date, and two‑year goals with measurable key results; decisions on full applications can take up to three months and grantees receive roughly biannual check‑ins. Most grantees must adopt sexual‑harassment policies meeting defined minimum standards, and the fund also makes a small number of experimental, non‑renewable grants (capped at $300,000, up to two years) that require only one check‑in and no budget.
