About this program
The Mycological Society of America offers the Forest Fungal Ecology Postdoctoral Research Award to support innovative studies of fungal interactions in old-growth forests and other unique, endangered, or sensitive ecosystems; floristic and systematic studies are not eligible. Applicants must be current MSA members or have applied for membership, have earned a Ph.D. within the past five years, and be conducting postdoctoral research in forest fungal ecology. Applications are due February 1 by midnight Pacific Time and require a form, CV, five-page study plan with budget and timeline, any necessary site permit documentation, and a letter of support submitted directly by the recommender.
