Fred C. Gloeckner Foundation Research Fund

About this program

The Fred C. Gloeckner Foundation Research Fund, administered in partnership with the American Floral Endowment, awards annual grants for research and educational projects in floriculture and allied fields at U.S. universities, colleges, and federal research institutions. Projects must be of substantial importance with results made publicly available; equipment-only requests are considered only when part of a research project, grants may include graduate assistantships, and awards are approved one year at a time. Applicants must submit a detailed project outline (objectives, methods, procedures, materials, equipment, and personnel); the Foundation does not pay indirect costs or faculty/PI salaries. Applications are due April 1 for committee review in early June (awards paid in August); application forms and inquiries (Laura Barth, lbarth@afeendowment.org) are available on the Foundation/AFE website.
