Frederick H. Stoye Awards — ASIH student oral presentation awards

About this program

The American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists awards the Frederick H. Stoye Awards to recognize the best student oral presentations across multiple categories (e.g., ichthyology, herpetology, ecology, physiology, conservation), with each category winner receiving $500; winners are announced at the Society’s Annual Business and Awards Meeting (BAAM). Applicants must be the presenter and lead author, be an ASIH member, indicate a desire to be considered when submitting their abstract, and meet ASIH’s student definition (full‑time student or have defended a thesis/dissertation within the previous 12 months). Presentations are evaluated on introduction, methods, data analysis and interpretation, conclusions (including innovation and significance), delivery, and quality of visual aids using a 0–10 rating scale.
