Frontline Care Award 2025

About this program

Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) offers the Frontline Care Award 2025 to recognize a frontline oncology nurse who demonstrates exceptional patient care through evidence‑based practice; the award includes a $500 cash prize, a desktop award, and travel reimbursement to attend the annual ONS Congress (round‑trip economy airfare, one night’s lodging, meals for a 24‑hour period and limited ground transportation/parking reimbursed when travel and lodging are arranged through ONS travel/meetings departments). Self‑nominations are accepted; nominees must be active ONS members whose primary duties are full‑time direct patient care (non‑management) and must clearly demonstrate a commitment to evidence‑based practice and outstanding direct patient care. Required materials are a nomination narrative statement, the nominee’s resume/CV, and two letters of support (from a colleague, patient/caregiver, or employer/supervisor), all submitted via the ONS awards portal (applicants must create and confirm an account). The online system locks at 5:00 pm ET on the September 30 nomination cutoff and will not accept incomplete or late submissions.
