About this program

Fruit Tree Planting Foundation (FTPF) donates complete community orchards—high-quality fruit trees and shrubs, planting equipment, on-site orchard design and oversight, horticultural workshops, aftercare training and manuals, and occasionally subsidized deer fencing and drip irrigation—to organizations working to alleviate hunger, strengthen communities, and improve the environment. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis via a downloadable form emailed to info@ftpf.org; FTPF is currently prioritizing U.S.-based projects, has limited international capacity, and notes its schedule is near capacity so responses may be delayed. Eligible applicants are U.S.-based nonprofits, NGOs, public schools, or government entities serving a charitable purpose that can demonstrate long-term site control or a usage agreement, provide a horticulturally appropriate planting site with reliable year‑round irrigation (typical minimum ~15–20 trees at ~15 ft spacing), commit to perpetual care, and assist with coordinating local volunteers for planting.
