Funding for programs and events on global catastrophic risk, effective altruism, and other topics

About this program

Coefficient Giving is offering rolling grants to support programs and events addressing global catastrophic risk, effective altruism, biosecurity, AI for epistemics, forecasting, and related areas, including scholarships/fellowships, internships, residencies, visitor programs, courses, seminars, conferences, workshops, retreats, and similar in-person or online activities. Applications are submitted via an online form and are reviewed on a rolling basis, with most funding decisions reached within about three months of application. Eligible applicants include individuals and organizations proposing one‑off or ongoing programs targeting participants at any career stage, provided projects align with Coefficient Giving’s stated focus areas. Applicants primarily focused on building capacity to address risks from transformative AI are encouraged to consider Coefficient Giving’s separate RFP for that area, though they may apply to this program as well.
