Futuro Latino Fund

About this program

The Omaha Community Foundation’s Futuro Latino Fund awards annual grants to initiatives benefiting Latino communities in the Omaha–Council Bluffs metro, with resident-led grantmaking by a committee of Latino representatives and priorities that include arts and culture, community and economic development, youth/families/women, health and wellness, civic engagement, and organizational capacity building. Eligible applicants are public tax‑exempt organizations (501(c)(3)) or projects using a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor, must serve Latinos in Douglas, Sarpy, or Pottawattamie counties, and have an annual operating budget of $500,000 or less; Latino/Latinx representation among clients, staff, management, or board is considered. Applications are submitted via the foundation’s online portal each year from January 1–March 1, awards (average $10,000–$15,000 from a total annual pool up to $175,000) are announced in May, projects must be completed in the award year, and applicants must provide an anti‑discrimination policy and meet reporting requirements for repeat funding.
