Generator Fund

About this program

The Generator Fund, supported by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and administered by the Buffalo Institute for Contemporary Art, awards $60,000 annually for visual arts projects that advance new approaches to creating and presenting contemporary art. The fund prioritizes artistic activity outside the studio, collaboration, and connections among artists across Buffalo, Niagara Falls, and surrounding communities. Eligible applicants include informal, non-incorporated artist collectives and independent organizers whose work may not qualify for traditional funding, particularly those based in Erie and Niagara Counties.
