About this program

The Gruber Foundation invites annual nominations for the Genetics Prize, recognizing individuals who have made original discoveries in genetic function, regulation, transmission, variation, or genomic organization. Nominations must be submitted by peers or others active in or appreciative of contemporary genetic research; self-nominations are not accepted. Required materials—submitted in English—are a completed nomination form, a current CV without a full publication list, and at least two letters of support from individuals outside the nominee’s institution or research group; electronic submission is preferred to nominations@gruber.yale.edu. Nominations for the 2027 prize close December 15, 2026; contact The Gruber Foundation at +1 203-432-6231 or nominations@gruber.yale.edu for instructions and the official form.
